Over the weekend of 1 - 3 June, there will be an 1812 Napoleonic costume event (organised by l'Atelier de Danse and the Jane Austen Society Florence) taking place in Lucca, Italy.
The weekend will feature a visit to the Palazzo Mansi and the Pinacoteca, a tour of the hidden theatres in Lucca (on the Saturday) and a period ball in 1812 costume (set to take place on the Saturday evening at the Palazzo Tucci). Full programme details can be found below.

Friday 1 June
8.30pm - 10.30pm: Dance run-through at the Palazzo Ducale
Saturday 2 June
11am - 12.30pm: Visit in 1812 costume to the Palazzo Mansi and the Pinacoteca
2pm - 4pm: Tour of the "hidden theatres in Lucca" in 1812 costume
7pm - 2am: Recepton drinks & Grand Imperial Ball at the Palazzo Tucci
Sunday 3 June
2.30pm - 7.30pm: Visit in 1812 costume to the Villa Reale Park and picnic afternoon tea at the Villa Torrigiani
