The Battle Proms picnic concert takes place this summer in a range of stately homes and properties across England. Doors open at 4.30pm, and events include a Napoleonic bivouac and Napoleonic cavalry and infantry displays. There will also be a Diamond Jubilee Gun salute from the English Field Artillery Company and an evening of orchestral Battle Prom anthems. Visitors will not want to miss the performances of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with live cannon fire or Beethoven's Wellington's Victory - also known as the Battle Symphony - which features 193 cannons, musket fire, and fireworks.
