Every weekend in June, visitors to Apsley House in London can enjoy events centred on the build-up to the battle of Waterloo. The main events are as follows:
1-2 June - Kids' weekend, with hands-on activities.
8- 9 June - Re-enactors' weekend; enthusiasts explain the costumes and manners of the era.
15-16 June - Focus on daily experience of the Napoleonic Wars, performed by actors.
22-23 June - Victory celebrations of the battle with music, dance and performance.
29- 30 June - A look at the Battle of Vitoria and the Peninsular War.
April - October: 11am - 5pm (closed Monday and Tuesday)
November - March: 10am - 4pm (closed Monday - Friday)
The museum is closed between 24 December and 1 January. The museum is closed on bank holidays during the period November - March.
