Taking place on the very spot where the Battle of Quatre Bras came to pass, this grand bivouac will take place on the very soil where, on 16 June 1815, no less than 10,000 soldiers died there. Visitors will be able to discover in an authentic way what the soldiers’ lives were like at the time. Meal preparation and lighting of fires will be among the activities, as well as gunfights, parades, combat and equestrian demonstrations. 1200 re-enactors from several European countries will be present.
