On 16 May 2018 from 3 pm to 5.30 pm, he Bibliothèque Paul Marmottan amphitheatre (just outside Paris) will host a study day organised in collaboration with the Fondation Napoléon on the occasion of the publication of the fifteenth and final volume of the Corrrespondance générale de Napoléon, co-edited by Fayard and the Fondation Napoléon.

3 pm – Opening by Victor-André Masséna, Prince d’Essling, President of the Fondation Napoléon, and President of the Committee for the edition of the Correspondance générale de Napoléon

3.10 pm – Introduction by Professor Jean Tulard, member of the Institute, Vice-President of the Committee for the Edition of the Correspondance générale de Napoléon

3.30 pm – The publication of the General Correspondence: an editorial adventure (Thierry Lentz, Director of the Napoleon Foundation, Secretary General of the Committee for the Edition of Correspondance générale de Napoléon)

3.50 pm – Presentation of the fifteenth and final volume (François Houdecek, project manager of the Correspondance générale de Napoléon)

4.10 pm – Projection of an extract from the film “Austerlitz” (Abel Gance)

4.15 pm – History of the publication of Napoleon’s Correspondence (Professor Jacques-Olivier Boudon, University of Paris-Sorbonne, President of the Institut Napoléon)

4.35 pm – the Correspondence and history of Napoleon (Patrice Gueniffey, Director of Studies at EHESS)

4.55 pm – Conclusion by Professor Jean-Claude Casanova, member of the Institute, Vice-President of the Committee for the Edition of the Correspondance générale de Napoléon
