This exhibition is organised on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, who died in September 1819.
He was one of the great figures of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 as he was at the head of the Prussian army.
To commemorate this anniversary, Prussian, British and French troops will be represented through an exhibition of previously unpublished works by Patrice Courcelle Artist-Historian, painter-historian and author of more than 80 works, including 25 devoted to the Battle of Waterloo.
Numerous authentic artefacts (weapons and period equipment) will also be exhibited.
An exceptional piece of equipment belonging to a soldier of the Empire, recently acquired by the Waterloo 1815 Memorial, will be presented for the first time.
