In celebration of Napoleon Bonaparte’s 250th birthday, the James Smith Noel Collection’s latest exhibit examines his life, times and battles, both political and personal. In the midst of political uncertainty after the French Revolution, Napoleon rose to power and led France to great imperial heights only to be exiled and lose it all in the end. The materials in the exhibit show the complex personality of the man and the tumultuous events of his life and reign.
