The fifth edition of “Rendez-V Marine”, in collaboration with the association “Petite armeé” and the Municipality of Portoferraio and Cosimo de’ Medici srl will evoke the the brief Napoleonic Principality on Elba.
From Friday 13th July at 6pm historical re-enactors will install the troop camp in the bastion of the Medici Fortresses.
At 8pm, bivouac and dinner of re-enactors in Piazza Cavour.
Then Saturday 14 July from 11am to 1pm, the camp will be open to the public, with demonstrations of period uniforms, weapons and costumes.
At 7pm, departure of the parade of re-enactors from the high seabed quay to the Gallo pier.
At 7.30pm arrival of the boat Pandora and landing of Napoleon. Afterwards the group of participants will continue the parade up to the archaeological area of Linguella, left the staff troops will proceed to Piazza Cavour.
At 8pm, bivouac and troop dinner in Piazza Cavour.
Finally at 11pm re-enactment of an attack from the sea by British soldiers who will arrive aboard the sailing ship Grace and shoot against the Linguella defended by French soldiers placed on the ramparts and the cockerel pier.
