As part of the “War of 1812: A Legacy of Division” speaker series, Dr Donald L. Fixico will discuss “Tecumseh and Conflicting Native Views on the War of 1812”.
Professor Fixico is distinguished foundation professor at Arizona State University. He is a Native scholar from Oklahoma and is Shawnee, Sac & Fox, Muscogee Creek and Seminole and has worked on 20 documentaries about American Indians. In 2012, he worked with the Canadians for a documentary on “Tecumseh and the War of 1812”.
