This section is a digital library offering access to the digitised books from the Bibliothèque M. Lapeyre and documents in the widest sense of the term (books, articles, engravings, etc), either scanned or transcribed in their entirety and available on the web, which are related to the First or Second Empires or published on those periods (several thousand books and articles online!).

The documents digitised by the Fondation Napoléon (listed here) are full searchable, and any images can be viewed using the high resolution zoom feature.

Napoleonica® the journal is an international scholarly online history journal on First and Second Empire subjects published by the Fondation Napoléon. It offers articles in English, documents, book reviews and a regular "Année philologique napoléonienne". It is free and available online. A print copy can be ordered for a small fee.

With its Napoleonica® les archives website, the Fondation Napoléon is making archives and documents from the First and Second Empires available on the Internet, in the form of structured and documented digital collections. Each collection is chosen for its historical or aesthetic value, as part of prestigious institutional partnerships: The complete correspondence of Napoleon, the archives of the Conseil d'État, the correspondence of Vivant Denon, documents of the Code civil, architectural drawings, soldiers letters, etc. New content is added on a regular basis.
