On the anniversary of the departure of Napoleon from Elba the Archivio di Stato di Lucca and the Associazione “Napoleone ed Elisa: da Parigi alla Toscana” are organising an afternoon dedicated to Napoleon:
The conference entitled “February 27, 1815: three women in the great Lucchese history” will be coordinated by the journalist and television presenter, Paolo Del Debbio. Guest speakers include:
– Gabriele Paolini, University of Florence
– Bernard Chevallier, honorary director of the Musées Nationaux de Malmaison et Bois-Préau
4.30 pm on Saturday 28 February at the Archivio di Stato di Lucca, piazza Guidiccioni n. 8, Lucca, Italy.
The initiative is organized in collaboration with the Provincia di Lucca, the Real Collegio di Lucca and the support of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca and private benefactors.
