13 March – 13 September 2015

This exhibition at the Musée National Suisse in Prangins, Nyon, looks at the reshaping of Switzerland at the Congress of Vienna of 1814-15. The country was of great significance in European geopolitics of the period, and emerged from the discussions as a more stable nation, whose long-term neutrality would be key to establishing peace in Europe. Amongst other materials, the exhibition uses vox populi and interviews with historians to explore issues that are still relevant today, such as war and peace, borders and Switzerland's independence and neutrality at the heart of Europe.

The museum will also host talks and guided tours in French and a conference on political neutrality ('Le monde des neutres') which will take place on 5 June 2015.

See here for further information.

Opening hours: Tuesday – Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm
Open on Easter Monday, Pentecost Monday and Ascension Monday.
