The place is now called Slavkov u Brna, but in 1805 it was called Austerlitz and the fight was known as the Battle of Three Emperors since it was the meeting of Napoleon and his forces with those of Holy Roman Emperor Francis II and Russian Czar Alexander I.

Some 2,000 volunteers in period costume, with 120 horses and 20 cannons will re-create a broad outline of the battle on Saturday, 5 December 2015. The show will be larger than in previous years. In 2013, for example, the battle had 900 soldiers.

Maneuvers and drills start in the morning of 5 December. The battle starts at 2 pm and lasts around and hour and a half.

A memorial ceremony will take place on 6 December at the Cairn of Peace Memorial, and a military encampment will take place at the Old Office near Pozořice 4-6 December, and a nearby museum will be open.

The 210th anniversary of Austerlitz will be organized under the auspices of the minister of regional development of the Czech Republic, Karla Šlechtová.

The historical re-enactors come from clubs in the Czech Republic, Malta, Hungary, Ukraine, Belarus, France, Germany and Britain, among other places.

The real battle took place on 2 December 1805, involving 67,000 French soldiers against 85,400 Russian and Holy Roman forces, who clashed for nine hours over 120 square kilometers. The combined casualties are estimated at 45,000.
