Notes:
The façade of the Ala Napoleonica here shows two superimposed arcades of fifteen arches above which (in the attic) there runs a frieze with in the centre a carved representation of Napoleon enthroned - a scene destroyed by the Austrians on their return. The panels of the frieze are interspersed with statues in bas-relief representing emperors, law givers and heroes, notably Achilles, Lycurgus, Alexander, Caesar, Augustus, Charlemagne, etc. Antonio Bosa and Domenico Banti executed the sculptures.
