The Emperor and the Empress had to walk through the museum gallery in order to reach the wedding chapel that had been constructed in the Louvre. This is the subject of plate VII of the work published by Didot l'Ainé in 1810, Description des Cérémonies et des Fêtes qui ont eu lieu pour le mariage de S.M. l'Empereur Napoléon avec S.A.I. Madame l'Archiduchesse Marie-Louise d'Autriche.
