Pier from the salon of the Hôtel de Mondragon where Napoleon and Josephine were married. The Hôtel was built by Etienne Bourgeois de Boynes (c.1721) and was seized when the owner, the marquis de Mondragon, emigrated. It was put up for sale, without success, and eventually rented to the council of the 2nd Arrondissement from (1793 to 1833). Today, the salon where the marriage took place has become the office of the president of the Conseil de surveillance of the bank BNP Paribas.
