Built by order of Napoleon I, the Ala Napoleonica in Piazza San Marco today houses the Museo Correr. The Comité Français de Sauvegarde de Venise (French Save Venice Committee) has launched a broad-ranging project of restoration of which the Napoleon Foundation is one of the sponsors.
