Marble reliefs decorate the walls of the grand staircase in the Ala Napoleonica. This allegorical scene shows a winged victory with a putto bearing a triumphal hand of justice, the symbol of royal and imperial power.
The Comité Français de Sauvegarde Venice (the French Save Venice Committee) has launched a project to restore the building, suported by the Napoleon Foundation.
