This detail of the ceiling of the vestibule of the Ala Napoleonica shows graphically the poor state of repair of the painted decoration. This includes: blackening, dust, cracks, water damage, etc.
The Comité Français de Sauvegarde Venice (the French Save Venice Committee) has launched a project to restore the building, suported by the Napoleon Foundation.
