Charles Decaen

Charles-Mathieu-Isidore Decaen (1769-1832) was promoted to Captain in 1793, brigadier general in 1796, Division General in 1800 and Captain General of French establishments in India in 1802. He was forced to capitulate in 1810, leaving the Seychelles and Réunion to the English. Commander of the army in Catalonia, he was elevated to comte d'Empire in 1813.
