The Medici Palace in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, today the seat of the French Senate, houses a rare portrait of the King of Rome identified as “Napoléon II”, a medallion painted in the Salon des messagers de l’État: it is the work of Théophile Vauchelet (1857).
