This print represents the outcome of the coup d’état of 18 and 19 Brumaire An VIII. General Bonaparte thus ordered the grenadiers of Leclerc and Murat to enter the room and evacuate the deputies, the latter releasing in passing “Throw everyone out!”. Even if the event is not totally confirmed, posterity will remember that some deputies tried to jump out the windows in order to escape this assembly.
