The New York Times' chess blog, “Gambit”, writes about an item of Napoleonic interest that featured in the Russian Museum of Ethnography's recent exhibition dedicated to the Anna Nova jewellery house: a France vs Russia 1812 chess set, which includes Napoleon Bonaparte and Alexander I as, respectively, the white and black kings.

The official website for the Anna Nova house also features additional images taken of the chess set.
