The September edition of History Today (UK) features an article on the figures of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale and their respective reputations, written by Lynn McDonald. There is also a review of Jane Ridley's biography of Edward VII (known as Bertie), a short article on the death of Mayer Amschel Rothschild – founder of the Rothschilds banking dynasty – on 9 September 1812, plus an interview with Jonathan Steinberg about his biography of Bismarck.
