On the anniversary of the death of Napoleon, debate still continues to rage regarding the causes of death of Napoleon I. On 5 May, Canada.com reported on a retired Danish doctor's new book on Napoleon's death, Napoleon's nyrer (Napoleon's kidneys) which claims that the French emperor died of kidney and urinary problems.
