In this podcast, Jeff James, director of Operations and Services at The National Archives (UK), discusses the various stages of the criminal justice system during the second half of the eighteenth-century and first half of the nineteenth-century, and takes a look at the records that were left detailing the criminals, the crimes committed, the court processes enacted, and the sentences passed.
