The Polish delegation of the Société d'entraide des membres de la Légion d'honneur has undertaken a project to restore the monument of Napoleon I which was inaugurated on 5 May, 1821 and can be found in Plac Powstańców (formerly Plac Napoleona) in Warsaw.
The reinauguration is set to take place on 5 May, 2011 to mark the 190th anniversary of the death of the emperor and the 90th anniversary of the initial unveiling of the monument.
In order to finance the project, a fund-raising drive has begun. All donations should be made to the account of the Société d'entraide des membres de la Légion d'honneur section polonaise (PKO BP SA, ul. Puławska 15, Warsaw):
