This work, originally published in 1853, is comprised of complete registers of Army Officers who were appointed Knights and Companions of the Order of the Bath 1815-1852 and who received awards for Distinguished Service, together with dates of appointment and of death; were recipients of Army Gold Crosses and Medals, with details of Actions or Battle Bars (including Officers who served in the Spanish and Portuguese Armies); Officers of the British Army and of the King's German Legion awarded the Military General Service Medal 1793-1814 and/or the Naval General Service Medal 1793-1840, with clasp entitlements. All Waterloo Officers are indicated. This small book has established itself as a most useful aide-memoire for historians and collectors interested in the Awards and Rewards to those Officers who served on Active Service in the Napoleonic Wars 1793-1815.
