This book is a collection of c. 30 fascsimiles of the Freiberg plates and c. 130 other uniform plates and French uniform illustrations from the Brun collection. Charles Brun was a uniform artist of the early 1900s who took copies of the uniform illustrations painted during the summer armistice of the 1813 campaign by two German artists who drew illustrations of the French troops stationed around Dresden and Freiberg in Saxony. The descriptive text by Alfred Umhey is tri-lingual (French, German, and English).
