Tuesday 7 July, University of Warwick

This conference will move away from the military terms commonly used to consider Napoleon's escape from Elba and return to France in February 1815 as a popular hero, known as the 100 Days. Instead, it will look at the popular responses to this sensational period and their influence on post-revolutionary Europe and the world, using sources in literature, the arts, journalism and political commentary.

The call for papers is now over. It is planned to publish selected papers as a collection of essays.
